Overview of the Commercial Security Technician Role

The Commercial Security Technician at Tri City Electric plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial project sites. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems to protect our clients’ assets. The technician will work closely with project managers, electricians, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless security solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

Requirements for Commercial Security Technician

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

  • Install, configure, and maintain security systems including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design security solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security systems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Lenel Certification
  • Crestron Certification

• Experience with

  • C-Cure
  • Lenel
  • C-More

• Experience and Licenses

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience
  • Valid electrical license for Florida
  • Proven experience with C-Cure and Lenel systems

• Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods

• Safety Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and take corrective action

Preferred Experience

• Experience with C-More systems
• Proven experience in handling commercial projects

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Tampa, FL
• This position may also involve travel to neighboring cities such as St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, and Largo.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.36 - $32.32 per hour, depending on experience
