Data Center Technician at Texas Voice & Data

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure.
- Perform server installations and decommissions.
- Manage cable plant documentation and implement hot/cold aisle containment.
- Coordinate maintenance windows and perform power circuit installations.
- Maintain battery backup systems and monitor environmental controls.
- Execute change management procedures and manage equipment lifecycle.
- Perform network hardware installations and maintain security protocols.
- Collaborate with local utility providers for seamless power distribution.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts environmental regulations.
- Lead efforts in the upcoming Cambridge Data Hub project.
Required Qualifications
- BICSI Data Center Technician certification preferred.
- Experience with critical infrastructure management.
- Expertise in dressing and terminating cables.
- Demonstrated ability with DCIM systems.
- Strong documentation skills and experience with change management procedures.
- Clean background check required.
- 3-5 years of experience in data center work in a commercial setting.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts-specific safety and building codes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with local tech teams in the Cambridge area.
