Security Tech at Telco Data
Position Overview
Telco Data is seeking an experienced Security Tech with a firm understanding of IP Camera Systems, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, and Access Control Systems for our regional team in Hollywood, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and general security of our clients primarily within the education sector, including Universities, K-12 Schools, and Training Centers. The position will require regular travel to nearby major cities and will operate on a second shift schedule (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IP Camera Systems, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.
- Regular travel to nearby major cities for on-site client support.
- Adherence to compliance and safety protocols within the education sector.
- Collaboration with a regional team of 10+ security professionals.
- Provision of technical guidance and support to clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in the security technology field.
- Holds an ESA Level 2 and NICET Level II certifications.
- Proficient in tools & technology including IP Camera Systems, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security+ and ASIS PSP certifications.
- Previous experience in the education sector is preferred.
- Outstanding communications skills.
- Proven track record of excellence in team environments.

- Extensive experience in the Hollywood, Florida area with its unique security challenges and opportunities.
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience with the security considerations and codes in the local education sector.
- Understanding of the local security tech market and its unique dynamics.
