Position Overview at Tech Electronics
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team in Athens, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling systems within office buildings. This role involves working on projects in Athens and the surrounding areas, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables and fiber optic systems in office buildings.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot any cabling issues.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and other technicians to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at Tech Electronics
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling.
- Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Proficient in using wire mapping tools and termination equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Technician.
- Experience with punch down tools.
- Specialized experience in office building projects.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools related to cabling.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Athens, GA.
- Additional locations: Watkinsville, Bogart, Winterville, and Hull.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.98-$32.87 per hour.
