Overview

As an Office Electrician at Helix Electric, you will play a crucial role in executing and managing electrical systems for commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are completed to the highest standards, adhering to all safety regulations and codes. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering excellence in every project.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
  • Interpret and apply electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal codes.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.

• Required Certifications:

  • Arc Flash Safety Certification.
  • CA State Journeyman License.

• Experience With:

  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Code Books: Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
  • Conduit Bending: Skilled in bending conduits to fit specific installations.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 Years of Electrical Experience: Demonstrated experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair in a commercial setting.
• Valid Electrical License for GA: Must possess a current electrical license to practice in Georgia.
• Experience with Blueprint Reading and Code Books: Proven ability to work from detailed technical drawings and apply code requirements.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Conduit Bending: Additional experience with advanced conduit bending techniques is highly desirable.
• Commercial Project Experience: Previous work on large-scale commercial projects is advantageous.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Athens, GA
• Neighboring Cities: Includes Watkinsville, Winterville, Bogart, and Hull.
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard work hours and potential for overtime as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $34.15 - $37.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
