Position Overview at T&D Communications
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems in office buildings within Houston and neighboring cities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm systems and a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in office buildings.
- Perform regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems.
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions and issues.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members on installation projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and local fire alarm codes and standards.
- Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at T&D Communications
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Simplex 4100 Certification is required.
- Experience with Simplex Systems and Fire-Lite Systems is mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems certification is preferred.
- Experience with Notifier Systems is a plus.
- Specialized experience in office building fire alarm systems.
- Proficiency with industry-related tools and technology.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Houston, TX
- Additional locations: Sugar Land, Pasadena, The Woodlands, Pearland, Katy
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.56-$33.35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
