Data Center Technician at Priority Electrical Services

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Technician to join our Commercial division. This role involves working on a variety of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools. The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical components and systems are installed, maintained, and optimized to the highest standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center infrastructure and equipment.
• Manage cable systems in compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct network testing using advanced testing equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to achieve project goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of installations and maintenance activities.

Required Certifications and Experience

• BICSI DCDC Certification
• CompTIA Server+ Certification
• 3-5 years of electrical experience
• Valid electrical license for TX
• Extensive experience with Cable Management Systems and Network Testing Equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods

Safety Knowledge

• Understanding of OSHA standards and safety protocols
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience with BICSI DC Certification
• Expert at dressing cables
• Previous experience on data center projects

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Houston, TX
• Neighboring Cities: Pasadena, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Baytown, Conroe, Pearland, League City, and Missouri City.
• Schedule: Full-time

• Pay range: $26.87-$31.72 per hour, depending on experience
