Role Overview
Position: Cable Installer
Experience Required: 3-5 years
Location: Houston, TX
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in structured cabling
- Proficiency in terminating fiber and copper
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA cabling standards
- Ability to read network blueprints
- Strong organizational skills for tool and inventory management
Key Responsibilities
- Install structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics) in new and retrofit projects
- Terminate and test copper and fiber optic cables with precision tools
- Mount and label network racks and patch panels
- Install cable tray and ladder rack systems ensuring proper support
- Dress and bundle cables to industry and site standards
- Follow construction blueprints and diagrams accurately
- Coordinate with construction teams for seamless cabling integration
