Position Overview at T&D Communications
The Data Center Cable Tech will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare facilities projects in Columbus, OH, and the surrounding areas. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center cabling systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling in healthcare facility environments.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance on cabling infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to execute project plans effectively.
- Utilize Fluke Testing Equipment to conduct cable testing and validation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs.
Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at T&D Communications
- 3-6 years of experience in data center cabling or a related field.
- Required certification: Corning Certification.
- Proficient in using Fluke Testing Equipment and familiar with Chatsworth Products.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Data Center Design.
- Experience with CommScope Infrastructure.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools and cable installation equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Columbus, OH
- Additional locations: Dublin, Westerville, Gahanna, Grove City, Hilliard, and New Albany.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $29.06-$34.71 per hour
