Residential Electrician at Rogers Electric

Join our team at Rogers Electric as a Residential Electrician Apprentice in Winston-Salem, NC! As part of our Residential Team, you will also have the opportunity to work on projects in neighboring cities like Greensboro, High Point, and Kernersville. This entry-level position will provide you with hands-on training under licensed electricians, giving you a strong foundation in residential electrical installations. You’ll have the chance to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in residential electrical systems, along with growth opportunities within the company.

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Electrician Apprentice, you will:

• Assist in the installation of residential electrical systems
• Learn wiring techniques and safety protocols
• Support team with material handling and job site preparation
• Observe and practice interpreting electrical blueprints
• Assist in installing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision
• Document daily tasks and learning progress
• Attend required apprenticeship classes and training sessions
• Follow safety guidelines and regulations
• Participate in site inspections and testing procedures
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors on project tasks
• Adhere to all regional and state residential electrical codes
• Assist in performing system upgrades and retrofits for upcoming residential projects in Winston-Salem
• Continually improve technical knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and educational opportunities

Required Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in an apprenticeship program is preferred
• A basic understanding of electrical concepts
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The physical ability to lift tools and materials
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• A strong interest in residential electrical systems
• 0-3 years of electrical experience
• Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and schematics
