Overview of the Office Cable Tech Role

Requirements for Office Cable Tech
Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects
- Install, terminate, and test various types of cables, including fiber optic and copper, in commercial settings.
- Perform cable splicing and connector installations with precision and attention to detail.
- Use Cable Certifiers (e.g., Fluke DSX) and Fiber Splicers (e.g., Fujikura) to ensure successful installations and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of installations and service activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Required Certifications and Experience
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license to travel to various project sites.
- Network+ Certification: Required to validate your expertise in networking technologies.
- Experience with Cable Certifiers and Fiber Splicers: Proficiency in using Fluke DSX and Fujikura tools is essential.
- BICSI Certifications: While not mandatory, experience with BICSI Certifications is highly preferred.
- 3-5 Years of Electrical Experience: A solid foundation in electrical systems and installations is required.
- Valid Electrical License for CO: Must hold a valid electrical license to work in Colorado.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching.

Compensation & Benefits
