Overview of Commercial Security Technician Role

As a Commercial Security Technician at Priority Electrical Services, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems in a commercial setting. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that all security systems are installed to the highest standards and function seamlessly. This position requires a strong understanding of security systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Requirements for Commercial Security Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Work with project managers and engineers to design and implement security solutions tailored to client needs.
• Perform regular system checks and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of security equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the use of security systems.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required Certifications

• C-More Certification
• C-Cure Certification

Experience Required

• Proficiency with C-Cure, Lenel, and C-More security systems.
• Experience working on commercial projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• 3-5 years of electrical experience.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Texas.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Capacity to perform tasks that involve physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Safety Knowledge

• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols related to electrical and security system installations.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for self and others.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with C-More security systems.
• Previous experience in commercial project environments.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Irving, TX
• Neighboring Cities: Dallas, Grand Prairie, Arlington, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Coppell
• Schedule: Full-time, with occasional overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed to meet project deadlines and client needs.

• Pay Range: $25.83-$31.29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
