Location: Torrance, CA, with occasional work in surrounding areas such as Carson, Redondo Beach, Hawthorne, Palos Verdes Estates, and Gardena.

Job Overview: Prime Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced Voice & Data Technician to join our rapidly growing team. This role will focus on the installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems for new construction and big box retail clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and will be committed to safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of voice and data systems, including CAT 5/6 cabling, fiber optics, and other communication systems.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams to ensure proper installation of voice and data systems.
3. Conducting site surveys to assess and document network needs for new construction or renovation projects.
4. Collaborating with construction teams to integrate voice and data systems into building designs.
5. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
6. Providing technical support and guidance to clients and team members.
7. Documenting all installed equipment and updating maintenance records.
8. Working closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.
9. Performing regular preventive maintenance on voice and data systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in voice and data installation, preferably in a commercial environment.
3. Strong understanding of industry best practices and electrical codes.
4. Knowledge of CAT 5/6 cabling, fiber optics, and other communication systems.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and customer service skills.
8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different job sites within the mentioned cities.
10. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
