Job Description:

Prime Partners is looking for a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical industry, with a strong focus on safety protocols, electrical code regulations, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
2. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
3. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
4. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
5. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
6. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
7. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
8. Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
3. Experience working as an electrician.
4. Electrician degree from a technical college.
5. Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge.
6. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
7. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
8. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
9. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
10. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
11. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
12. Valid license to practice profession.

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license.
2. Must possess a current state Journeyman Electrician License.
3. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
4. Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
5. Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.
6. Good communication skills.
