Job Overview:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical industry, specifically in voice and data installation for commercial work, mainly new construction and big box retail. If you have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a desire to provide high-quality services, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data and electronic communications systems.
2. Handle power and manual tools for the installation, and repair of equipment.
3. Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data systems.
4. Install, splice, repair, and test fiber optic cabling.
5. Troubleshoot various types of networks, systems, and applications.
6. Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication systems, including data network wiring, IP based and digital phone systems.
7. Work with blueprints and electrical schematics to perform installations.
8. Follow industry standards, local and state regulations when performing work.
9. Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered.
10. Liaise with clients, Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure all technical aspects of the projects are handled efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in voice and data systems installation, preferably in commercial work, new construction, and big box retail.
3. Strong knowledge of network cabling, phone systems, and data center operations.
4. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
5. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Must be willing to travel to surrounding cities for work.
10. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
