Job Overview:

Prime Partners is seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining security systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. This role covers Sacramento and its surrounding cities, requiring a keen sense of responsibility and technical know-how.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair a variety of security systems including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarm Systems, Intercom and Public Address Systems, and other related equipment.
2. Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure that all security systems are functioning optimally.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security systems and devices.
4. Provide technical support to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed security systems.
5. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth completion of projects.
6. Adhere to all industry standard safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
7. Conduct site assessments to determine security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate systems or upgrades.
8. Prepare and submit job reports and documentation as required.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Technician.
2. Proven experience with commercial security system installations.
3. Certified Alarm Technician Level I (National Training School) or equivalent certification.
4. Proficient knowledge of electronic, mechanical and electrical components.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
6. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with IP networking and structured cabling.
2. Knowledge of various security system brands and their installation.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
5. Physically fit and able to work in various conditions (heights, confined spaces, etc.)

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Must be familiar with a wide range of tools and equipment, including but not limited to: oscilloscopes, multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, power tools, cable testers, IP network analyzers, and soldering equipment.

Safety Requirements:

Must adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols as per OSHA and company regulations. This includes wearing of personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
