Job Title: Commercial Electrician (Apprentice/Journeyman) Location: Sacramento, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners, a leading construction and electrical services company, is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician at both the Apprentice and Journeyman levels. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety and customer service, along with a deep understanding of new construction wiring, troubleshooting, and commercial electrical applications. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings, such as office buildings and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Perform general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
10. Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

1. For Apprentice: At least 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
2. For Journeyman: At least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
3. Must possess a valid state Electrician’s license.
4. High school diploma or equivalent.
5. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
6. Experience working with hand tools, power tool, and electrical equipment.
7. Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
8. Good knowledge of electrical systems, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

Specific Tools & Equipment Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and test lamps.
2. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
3. Ability to use specialized electrical system diagnostic equipment.

Safety Requirements & Protocols:

1. Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
2. Use safety equipment and protective clothing as required.
3. Continually review and adhere to all OSHA safety regulations.

Service Areas:

The Electrician will primarily service the Sacramento area, with occasional work in surrounding cities as needed.
