Job Title: Security Technician Location: Irvine, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description: Prime Partners is looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in installing security systems in commercial properties such as new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and service security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/system programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Perform system checks for proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security systems.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support to the end-users.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure the completion of projects on time and within the budget.
• Prepare accurate and timely documentation, including activity reports and time sheets.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Technician.
• Knowledge of various security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for installing and servicing security systems.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Certified Alarm Technician (Level 1) from the Electronic Security Association or Certified Security Systems Technician from the Security Industry Association preferred.

Service Area: This position services Irvine, CA and surrounding cities. Some travel may be required for jobs outside of the immediate area.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge: The candidate should have experience and knowledge in using various tools like wire strippers, power drills, crimping tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.

Safety Requirements and Protocols: The candidate should adhere to all safety policies and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment and following proper procedures when handling tools and equipment.
