Position: Commercial Electrician Location: Irvine, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be able to work on a variety of commercial projects including new construction office buildings and hospitals. This role is critical for the successful execution of our projects, ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical code specifications and project layouts to perform installations and repairs.
2. Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while observing all safety laws and regulations.
3. Conducting diagnostic tests on electrical systems and components to identify and repair faults.
4. Installing and configuring electrical devices such as outlets, lighting, equipment, and fixtures.
5. Coordinating with the project manager and other team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
6. Training and mentoring apprentice electricians.
7. Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
8. Documenting processes, repairs, and safety inspections.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid state Journeyman Electrician’s License.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial electrical role.
4. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
5. A strong understanding of electrical systems, electrical theory, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Service Area:

This position will primarily service Irvine and surrounding cities, with occasional jobs outside this area as required.

Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates must have experience with various tools and equipment used in the electrical trade including electrical meters, drills, conduit benders, wire strippers, and other specialized tools.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures including OSHA regulations.
2. Ability to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
3. Maintain safety equipment and PPE.
