Commercial Journeyman Electrician at Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience with a focus on installing electrical systems in new commercial properties such as office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and more. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package, including a $300 sign-on bonus after the first paycheck.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears
• Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
• Provide preventive maintenance for electrical systems and equipment
• Communicate with the construction team and other electricians to ensure systems are installed correctly

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Valid journeyman electrician license
• Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience
• Experience in installing electrical systems in new commercial properties
• High school diploma or GED required

Service Area:

• Irvine and surrounding cities

Tools & Equipment Knowledge:

• Knowledge of using all necessary tools and equipment to perform the job, including electrical wire benders, voltage testers, drills, saws, and conduit benders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics

Safety Requirements & Protocols:

• Knowledge of all safety protocols and procedures related to the electrical field
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and local codes
• Prioritize safety above all else and maintain a safe work environment
