Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in San Jose, CA. The Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for assisting electricians with installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments under the supervision of a licensed electrician.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist Journeyman Electrician in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

2. Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to instructions.

3. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using ruler and hand tools.

4. Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter.

5. Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools.

6. Perform minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.

7. Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

8. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

9. Comply with all safety procedures and regulations.

10. Attend all required training and apprenticeship classes.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be enrolled in or willing to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program.

3. Basic understanding of electrical principles.

4. Ability to follow instructions from journeyman electricians.

5. Willingness to learn and continuously improve skills.

6. Must have good problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to work in various environments and conditions, including heavy lifting and working at heights.

8. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years old.

2. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

3. Able to work a full-time schedule that may include overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

4. Must have reliable transportation.

5. Must have basic hand tools.
