Day-to-Day Responsibilities at Prime Partners

As an Electrical Estimator with Prime Partners, your primary responsibility is to develop comprehensive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. On a typical day, you will analyze project plans and specifications to determine labor, material, and equipment costs. You’ll engage in value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Your day will also involve collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary data, as well as participating in pre-bid meetings and site visits.

Comprehensive Cost Estimation

Your core responsibilities will include preparing detailed estimates for electrical systems in commercial new construction projects. This involves thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and requirements to meticulously determine the costs involved in labor, materials, and equipment.

Advanced Technical Duties

In addition to standard estimation tasks, you will:

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns.

Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge Requirements

Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Bluebeam is required. You must demonstrate the ability to analyze project documentation and provide accurate, competitive bids.

Certifications and Technical Knowledge
