What You’ll Do as an Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners, you’ll become an integral part of our electrical team, working on exciting multi-year projects in Huntington Beach, CA, with opportunities to extend your skills to projects in neighboring cities like Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and Fountain Valley. Your role is to support our journeyman electricians by learning and executing the fundamentals of electrical installations in dynamic commercial construction environments. Your Daily Tasks as an Apprentice Electrician

Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and engaging. You’ll assist journeyman electricians in installing wiring, conduits, and electrical fixtures, ensuring each component is placed accurately according to blueprints and project specifications. Safely pulling and terminating wire runs will be a regular part of your duties, along with installing electrical boxes and setting up temporary power systems. You’ll also:

• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs under the guidance of experienced electricians.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools and materials, ensuring everything is in its place for efficient workflow.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
• Learn to use various electrical testing devices to ensure systems and components are functioning correctly.

What You Need to Be an Apprentice Electrician

To thrive as an Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners, you must possess a valid Electrical Trainee Card from the CA Department of Industrial Relations. A strong grasp of basic electrical principles coupled with a keen desire to learn advanced techniques is essential. You should be comfortable working in construction environments, which often require climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and performing physically demanding tasks. Attention to detail is crucial to prevent errors and ensure safety. Ideally, candidates should have:

• At least 1+ years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician.
• Strong hands-on abilities, such as tool-handling proficiency and a solid understanding of electrical codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
