Job Overview: Prime Partners, a leading electrical contracting company, is delighted to announce an opening for a Journeyman Electrician position. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is experienced in handling a wide range of electrical tasks. The position will be based in Huntington Beach, CA, but will also serve neighboring cities such as Newport Beach, Fountain Valley, and Costa Mesa.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
3. Conduct tests and inspections on electrical systems, diagnose and locate circuit faults, and replace defective parts when necessary.
4. Read blueprints or technical diagrams before performing work to prepare and plan layouts.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, answering customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
6. Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
7. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
8. Collaborate with management and team members to ensure productive operations.
9. Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Valid state Journeyman Electrician License.
2. Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
3. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
4. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local building regulations.
5. Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and systems.
6. Good communication skills, ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
8. A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in electrical engineering or relevant field is a plus.

Requirements:

1. Must possess a valid CA driver’s license.
2. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
3. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
4. Must be comfortable working at heights or in small confined spaces.
