Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician Location: Sacramento, CA

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Sacramento, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in various facilities. You will ensure that all systems meet the required standards and regulations. This role requires excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install and program new fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, and devices.
2. Perform regular maintenance and inspections on fire alarm systems to ensure they are working correctly and meet safety standards.
3. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems.
4. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest fire alarm technology and safety regulations.
6. Train clients on how to use their fire alarm systems correctly.
7. Respond promptly to emergency call-outs.
8. Work closely with the sales and design team to develop fire alarm system designs.
9. Coordinate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth completion of projects.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a recognized Fire Alarm System Technician program.
3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
4. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and fire alarm technology.
5. Strong understanding of local and national fire codes and regulations.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable mode of transportation.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
2. Required to work in various conditions, including tight spaces and high locations.
3. Must be available for on-call duty and emergency call-outs.
4. Must pass a background check and drug test.
