Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Voice & Data Technician with a strong background in the electrical industry. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems in commercial settings, with a focus on new construction and big box retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot voice and data systems for commercial and retail clients.
2. Perform network cabling tasks, including planning, installing, configuring, and testing.
3. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations in line with OSHA requirements.
4. Conduct system diagnostics and make necessary repairs.
5. Understand and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
6. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians for project completion.
7. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all client inquiries and issues are addressed promptly.
8. Stay current with the latest technology and industry trends.
9. Assist in training junior technicians on installation procedures and troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Voice & Data Technician or a similar role in the electrical industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of network cabling, patch panel termination, and installation of switches and routers.
4. Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical drawings.
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Willingness to travel to different job sites within the Sacramento area.
10. Must be able to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in tight spaces.
11. Relevant certification (e.g., BICSI) is preferred.
