About the Position:

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team in Marietta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fire alarm systems. A strong background in the electrical industry and experience with a wide range of alarm systems is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with state and local codes.
2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
3. Identify and correct deficiencies in fire alarm systems.
4. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues related to fire alarm systems.
5. Provide technical assistance and training to customers, explaining system operation and maintenance procedures.
6. Maintain accurate records of completed work, including detailed reports of inspections and repairs.
7. Respond promptly to emergency calls and service requests.
8. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
4. In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and related electrical equipment.
5. Strong understanding of local and state fire alarm codes and regulations.
6. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
9. Strong communication and customer service skills.

Requirements:

1. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
2. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
3. Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
4. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work at heights.
5. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
