Apprentice Electrician at Prime Partners

We are seeking an eager and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Marietta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop a career within the electrical industry. The Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for assisting the Master Electrician in installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems while adhering to electrical and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Master Electrician in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.

3. Perform general electrical maintenance.

4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.

5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.

8. Assist in training other employees and apprentices to company standards.

9. Conduct maintenance tasks such as checking for unsafe conditions, replacing damaged switches, outlets, and circuit breakers safely and correctly.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.

3. Experience working as an electrician.

4. Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge.

5. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.

6. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.

7. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.

8. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

9. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Requirements:

1. Valid license to practice the profession.

2. Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

4. Ability to focus, show attention to detail.

5. Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
