Job Description:

As a Fire Alarm Technician at Prime Partners, you will play a critical role in serving office buildings and hospitals in Long Beach and surrounding cities. Our team specializes in new construction projects as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional with at least 2 years of experience in fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of fire alarm systems in new and existing commercial buildings, with a focus on office buildings and hospitals.
2. Read and comprehend blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
3. Conduct regular testing to ensure fire alarm systems are working optimally.
4. Respond and attend to emergency breakdowns and malfunctions.
5. Comply with all local and state regulations and codes related to fire alarm systems.
6. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
7. Provide excellent customer service, maintain professional communication with clients, and complete necessary documentation.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
2. Certifications from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) or equivalent.
3. Excellent knowledge of local and state fire and electrical codes.
4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools used in the trade.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
6. High school diploma or equivalent.
7. Valid driver’s license.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge Required:

1. Proficiency in using standard electrical testing equipment, hand, and power tools.
2. Knowledge of different types of fire alarm systems and their components.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing duties.
2. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
3. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
