Fire Alarm Installer at Prime Partners

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Installer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team at Prime Partners. The successful candidate will primarily focus on installing fire alarm systems in new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties in Irvine, CA, and surrounding cities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install and program new fire alarm systems in commercial buildings according to building codes and safety regulations.
2. Test and inspect installed fire alarm systems to ensure they are in working order and meet all safety requirements.
3. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fire alarm systems.
4. Conduct site surveys to determine the best location for fire alarm equipment installation.
5. Coordinate with construction teams and project managers to ensure smooth installation process.
6. Provide training and guidance to clients on how to use the installed fire alarm systems.
7. Respond to emergency service calls for fire alarm malfunctions and troubleshoot issues.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation, preferably in a commercial setting.
3. Must hold a valid fire alarm installer certification.
4. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including programming and wiring.
5. Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
6. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, including drills, wire strippers, and crimpers.
2. Knowledge of using electronic testing equipment for fire alarm systems.
3. Familiarity with different types of fire alarm systems and their installation processes.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate safety gear.
2. Follow strict safety guidelines when working with electrical systems to prevent accidents.
3. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
