Position: Commercial Electrician Location: Los Angeles, CA Company: Prime Partners

Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician for our Los Angeles location. The candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of electrical tasks related to new construction office buildings and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Perform general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
10. Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Proven experience as an electrician.
2. Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical systems.
3. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.)
4. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
6. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
7. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
8. Valid license to practice profession.

The service area for this position includes Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding cities.

Tool and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates should have a working knowledge of electrical and hand tools, including but not limited to, wire strippers, voltmeter, drills, saws, and conduit benders. Experience with heavy machinery like forklifts and scissor lifts is beneficial.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

Candidates should have a thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures, regulations, and guidelines, including adherence to the National Electrical Code and state and local building regulations. The ability to work safely and effectively in high-stress environments, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety, is essential.
