Overview of Commercial Data Center Technician Role

As a Commercial Data Center Technician at Nipper Electric, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our clients’ data centers. You will work closely with our team to ensure that data centers operate smoothly and meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Requirements for Commercial Data Center Technician

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in data centers.
• Monitor and manage power systems to ensure continuous operation and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.

Required Certifications

• OSHA 30
• First Aid/CPR

Experience With

• Power Monitoring Systems
• Arc Flash Training
• BICSI DC Certification (preferred)

Additional Requirements

• 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for OH.

• Experience with BICSI DC Certification.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects.

• Schedule: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $26.55-$30.7 per hour, depending on experience.
