Position Overview at MMR Group
As a Low Voltage Cable Technician with MMR Group in Colorado Springs, CO, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage cable systems in office buildings. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure successful project completion in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables, including Cat 5e, Cat 6, and fiber optics.
- Perform daily tasks such as running cables, setting up network components, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Engage in project involvement from initial setup to final testing and documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure work environment.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at MMR Group
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: OSHA 10.
- Proficient with termination equipment and cable management systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Network+ Certification.
- Experience with fiber optic tools and technology.
- Specialized experience in office building projects.
- Tool proficiency, including cable testers and punch-down tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Colorado Springs, CO.
- Additional locations: Pueblo, Fountain, Monument, and Woodland Park.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.7-$33.29 per hour.
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
