EZ Electric, a leading electrical services provider, is seeking a dedicated Industrial Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate 480V 3-phase power distribution systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Perform precise conduit bending for complex industrial applications, adapting techniques to the specific needs of automated systems.
• Assist with the installation and setup of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
• Utilize digital multimeters and meggars for thorough testing of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs to track system performance and document any repairs or modifications.
• Assist with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) cabinet assembly, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Follow confined space and elevated work procedures, adhering to all safety regulations to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Support production equipment installations with technical expertise, facilitating seamless integration into existing systems.
• Coordinate with local utility companies in Colorado Springs to ensure compliance with regional electrical codes and standards.
• Engage in community-based projects and initiatives, leveraging knowledge of local industrial trends and requirements.

Required Qualifications

• OSHA-30 certification to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting industrial electrical blueprints and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Demonstrated knowledge of motor control circuits, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Experience with conduit bending machines up to 2 inches, ensuring precision in installations.
• Proficiency with digital testing equipment, essential for accurate assessments and diagnostics.
• Strong mathematical skills for performing load calculations and ensuring system efficiency.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Understanding of industrial network infrastructure to support system communication and data flow.
• 1-3 years of experience required for Apprentice work in an industrial setting, showcasing practical skills and adaptability.
• Familiarity with Colorado Springs’ specific industrial safety protocols and environmental considerations.
• Experience in collaborating with local stakeholders to support regional industrial projects and initiatives.
