Qualifications for Journeyman Electrician
- 4+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Valid California Journeyman Certification from the Department of Industrial Relations
- Extensive knowledge of NEC and renewable energy codes, particularly solar and battery storage
Responsibilities for Journeyman Electrician
- Install and maintain solar panels, energy storage systems, and inverters on commercial properties
- Route and install conduit and wiring for high-voltage DC and AC systems
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on energy-efficient solutions
- Supervise apprentices and ensure adherence to safety standards
