Electrician Apprentice at IES Electric
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Riverside, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the electrical trade. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of a licensed electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including fire and security systems, in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in compliance with local codes.
- Support the setup and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems, including control panels, sensors, and wiring.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure proper system installation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure job satisfaction.
- Attend training sessions and courses to enhance skills and knowledge of the trade.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Enrollment in or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
- Arizona-specific certifications or willingness to obtain them:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Completion of the Arizona Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalent training.
- Familiarity with Arizona fire and security system installation codes is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with fire alarm system installation, including programming and maintenance.
- Familiarity with security system wiring, including access control and CCTV systems.
- Previous work in residential or commercial electrical projects is a plus.
