Position Overview at MMR Group
The Data Center Cable Tech will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of network cabling within office buildings in Cupertino, CA, and the surrounding areas. This position involves working closely with project teams to ensure high-quality standards and timely completion of projects.
Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech
- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cables according to industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of network cabling systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and building codes.
Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at MMR Group
- 3-6 years of experience in data center cabling or a related field.
- Required certification: BICSI Data Center Design.
- Proficient in using Corning Fiber Systems and Fluke Testing Equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Extensive experience with Corning Fiber Systems.
- Specialized experience in large-scale office building projects.
- Proficiency with cabling tools and testing equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Cupertino, CA.
- Additional locations: Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, San Jose.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime as project demands.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.84-$34.89 per hour.
