Controls Engineer at MMR Group
MMR Group is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Safety Controls Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As an expert in machine safety systems, safety PLCs, and risk assessment, the successful candidate will be integral in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. This role requires extensive travel for safety system validation and assessments.
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Safety Controls Engineer role
- Expertise in machine safety systems, safety PLCs (Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, Siemens F-CPU), and risk assessment
- Proficiency with ISO 13849/IEC 62061 standards, safety system design, and safety network protocols (CIP Safety, PROFIsafe)
- Proficient in Sistema calculations, safety circuit design, and robot safety systems
- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification
- OSHA-30 certification
- Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) credentials
Desirable Experience
- Experience operating in and around Los Angeles and its neighboring cities, including Long Beach, Santa Ana, and Anaheim
- Prior experience working with compliance assessments
- Experience with safety system validation
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay range of $60.24-$70.51
- Comprehensive benefits package offered
