Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Audio Visual Estimator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The AV Estimator will be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates and proposals for AV system integration projects. This role involves collaborating with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure competitive, precise, and comprehensive project estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate AV cost estimates.
• Analyze project details to determine the scope, equipment, materials, and labor needs.
• Create detailed and competitive cost analyses and quotes using estimating tools/software.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, designers, and engineers, to align estimates with project goals.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to source competitive pricing and ensure accurate estimates.
• Ensure all estimates meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for cost breakdowns and proposals.
• Stay up-to-date on AV technologies, equipment, and industry trends to maintain competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3-5 years of proven experience in estimating or cost projections, preferably in the audiovisual or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, components, tools, and integration requirements.
• Familiarity with AV system design principles, construction methods, and industry standards (e.g., InfoComm, CEDIA).
• Proficiency in using estimating tools/software to generate detailed cost analyses.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills for interpreting project details and calculating costs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and budgeting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
