Position Overview at 3D Communications

The Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems in office buildings across Los Angeles, CA, and neighboring cities. This role involves working with various types of cables, including fiber optics, and ensuring optimal connectivity and performance of communication systems. The technician will collaborate with project teams to execute efficient installations and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Requirements for Cable Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair cable systems in office buildings.
• Ensure proper functioning of communication systems through regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement cable installations efficiently.

Daily Tasks

• Perform installations and repairs of cable systems.
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure cable integrity.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records.

Project Involvement

• Participate in planning and execution of cable installation projects.
• Work with project managers to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Provide technical support and expertise during project development phases.

Qualifications for Cable Technician at 3D Communications

• 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: OSHA 10.
• Experience with cable testers and fiber optic tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
