The Cable Technician will play a crucial role in supporting office building projects in Santa Ana, CA, and neighboring cities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems, ensuring high-quality connectivity and service delivery. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements for Cable Technician

• Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair cable systems in office buildings.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions that meet client specifications.

• Daily tasks

  • Conduct site surveys to determine cable requirements and layouts.
  • Use wire mapping and punch down tools to execute installations.
  • Document installations, maintenance, and repairs accurately.

• Project involvement

  • Participate in planning and execution of cable installations for office buildings.
  • Assist in project management duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications for Cable Technician at MMR Group

• 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Network+ Certification.
• Experience with: Wire Mapping Tools, Punch Down Tools.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
• Experience with Cable Testers.
• Specialized experience in office building projects.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard installation and diagnostic tools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Santa Ana, CA.
• Additional locations: Anaheim, Irvine, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.55-$36.8 per hour.
