Key Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm control panels and devices efficiently and accurately.
• Pull and terminate fire alarm cables, ensuring adherence to proper wiring methods.
• Mount notification appliances and initiation devices according to system specifications.
• Assist with system programming and testing to ensure operational readiness.
• Maintain detailed point-to-point wiring documentation for project records.
• Coordinate with other trades for optimal device placement in active construction sites.
• Perform pre-wire and trim-out phases of system installation.
• Install conduit and cable pathways as per design requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system wiring issues, maintaining proper color coding and labeling.
• Assist with final testing and inspections to ensure system compliance with NFPA 72 standards.
• Engage in the installation process for a major upcoming project in the Hollywood area, such as the new commercial complex at Oakwood Plaza.
• Comply with regional fire safety regulations and requirements specific to the state of Florida.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial fire alarm installation.
• Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 72 requirements and fire alarm circuit types.
• Experience with basic programming and the ability to use multimeters and testing equipment effectively.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of voltage drop calculations and their application in fire alarm systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with project teams.
• Familiarity with the unique regulatory environment of Hollywood, including local building codes and inspection processes.
• Ability to perform tasks in a variety of construction site conditions, including high-rise buildings common in the Hollywood area.
