Role Overview

As an Office Security Technician at Lyons Electrical, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial projects. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems in various commercial environments. Your expertise will contribute to creating secure and efficient workspaces for our clients. This position requires a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of security systems.

Requirements for Office Security Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, in commercial settings.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of security equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot security system issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure all security installations comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Document all security system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide training and support to clients on the operation of security systems.
• Stay updated on the latest security technologies and trends to ensure Lyons Electrical offers cutting-edge solutions.

Required Certifications and Experience

• Certifications: Crestron, Lenel
• Proficient in working with security systems such as Lenel, C-Cure, and C-More.
• 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated experience with Lenel and C-Cure systems.
• Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and working in various environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with C-More security systems.
• Proven track record working on commercial projects, with a focus on office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Richmond, VA
• Neighboring Cities: Henrico, Chesterfield, Midlothian, Glen Allen, Mechanicsville, Ashland
• Schedule: Full-time, with occasional on-call hours for emergency support.

• Pay Range: $27.37 - $32.64 per hour, depending on experience.
