As a Commercial Fire Alarm Designer at Koorsen, based in our Tempe, AZ location, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of fire alarm systems for commercial properties. Essential Functions

• Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive fire alarm design plans for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, and construction teams to integrate fire alarm systems into building designs seamlessly.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for fire alarm systems, including diagrams, schematics, and technical reports.
• Project Management: Oversee fire alarm design projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Compliance and Testing: Ensure all designs meet NFPA 1041 and NFPA 1042 standards, and coordinate with testing teams to validate system performance.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize Fire Alarm Design Software, Fire Alarm Installation Tools, and Fire Alarm Testing Equipment to create efficient and effective systems.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience in the fire alarm industry.
• Licensing: A valid electrical license for the state of Arizona.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of Fire Alarm Design Software and Fire Alarm Installation Tools.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that require physical exertion, such as climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
