Role Overview

As a Security Technician in the Commercial Division at Jackson Electric, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining security systems across various commercial projects. You will work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that security solutions are installed correctly and function seamlessly. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our clients’ premises and assets.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Install, configure, and maintain electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of security systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security equipment and software.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and implement security solutions tailored to client needs.
• Document installation processes and maintenance activities accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users as necessary.

Required Certifications and Experience

• Certifications: Lenel and C-More are mandatory for this role.
• Experience with security systems such as C-Cure, Crestron, and C-More is essential.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Possession of a valid electrical license in the state of Texas is required.
• Demonstrated experience with C-Cure and Crestron systems is critical.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
• Capability to work in confined spaces as needed.

• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the electrical and security industry.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with C-More systems is highly desirable.
• A strong background in handling commercial projects will be an advantage.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Dallas, TX
• Neighboring Cities: Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Grand Prairie, Irving, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch.
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours. Occasional overtime may be required based on project demands.

• Pay Range: $25.37 - $30.86 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
