Position Overview at Convergint
The AV Systems Tech position at Convergint in Dallas, TX, involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems primarily in office building projects. This role requires working closely with clients and project teams in Dallas and neighboring cities to ensure seamless integration and functionality of AV systems.
Essential Functions for AV Systems Tech
- Install, configure, and maintain AV systems including displays, projectors, and audio equipment.
- Conduct regular system checks and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to assess AV needs and provide solutions.
- Document system configurations and changes.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Required Qualifications for AV Systems Tech at Convergint
- 3-5 years of experience in AV systems installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Crestron Certification.
- Experience with Biamp Audio Systems and Crestron Control Systems.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, and work on ladders or elevated platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Extron Certification.
- Experience with Extron Electronics.
- Specialized experience in commercial office building projects.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and repair.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Dallas, TX.
- Additional locations: Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, McKinney, Frisco, Carrollton.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $29.99-$35.09 per hour.
