Overview of Commercial Security Technician Role

The Commercial Security Technician at Helix Electric plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our commercial projects. Requirements for Commercial Security Technician

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, configure, and maintain security systems including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair security system components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to customize security solutions.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and system updates.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and regulations.

• Required Certifications:

  • Crestron
  • Lenel

• Experience with:

  • C-Cure
  • Lenel
  • C-More

• Typical Projects:

  • Office Buildings
  • Retail Centers
  • Hospitals
  • Schools

• Experience and Licensing:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience
  • Valid electrical license for CO
  • Proven experience with C-Cure and Lenel

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to work in various environments including confined spaces and at heights
  • Dexterity to handle small components and tools

• Safety Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

• Extensive commercial project experience
