Process Controls Technician at Helix Electric
Helix Electric is currently seeking an experienced Process Controls Technician for our Atlanta, GA location, which is easily accessible from neighboring cities such as Decatur, Sandy Springs, Marietta, and East Point. This role requires expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Honeywell and DeltaV, instrumentation calibration, and process control loops. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of analog/digital instrumentation, control valve maintenance, and PID loop tuning. Proficiency in HART protocol, Foundation Fieldbus, and industrial networking is essential. This position requires 40-60% travel for plant startups and system upgrades.
Required Experience and Certifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Controls Technician.
- Certification as an ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level II.
- OSHA-30 certification.
- Confined space certification.
- Certification as an ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP).
- Proficiency in HART protocol, Foundation Fieldbus, and industrial networking.
- Experience with analog/digital instrumentation, control valve maintenance, and PID loop tuning.
- Willingness to travel 40-60% for plant startups and system upgrades.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DCS systems such as Honeywell and DeltaV.
- Experience in instrumentation calibration.
- Knowledge of process control loops.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range of $50.14-$60.41 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
