Position Overview at Tech Electronics
The Cable Technician at Tech Electronics will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems in healthcare facilities across Atlanta, GA, and neighboring areas. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in dynamic healthcare environments, ensuring the highest standards of service and reliability.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables in healthcare facilities.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cable systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during installations and repairs.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Tech Electronics
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: BICSI Technician.
- Proficiency with termination equipment and cable management systems.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: Network+ Certification.
- Experience with fiber optic tools and technologies.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility cabling.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools related to cable installation.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Atlanta, GA.
- Additional locations: Marietta, Decatur, Roswell, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.72-$31.76 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
