Overview of the Commercial Junior Project Manager Role

The Commercial Junior Project Manager at TEC Electric plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution of commercial projects. This position is designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of electrical systems and project management methodologies who are eager to grow their careers in a dynamic commercial environment. The Junior Project Manager will collaborate closely with senior project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Essential Functions

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical aspects of commercial projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Support senior project managers in conducting site assessments, risk analysis, and project scope development.
• Utilize design software and code analysis tools to support project design and compliance with industry standards.
• Engage in estimating tasks, providing accurate and detailed cost projections for project components.
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members to facilitate project progress and address any issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on all project sites.
• Participate in regular project meetings, preparing reports and documentation as needed.

Required Certifications

• IPMA (International Project Management Association) or equivalent project management certification.
• PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) certification is highly desirable.

Experience with

• Design Software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
• Code Analysis tools
• Estimating Tools for project cost analysis

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Familiarity with design software and code analysis processes.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and practices in electrical project management.

Preferred Qualifications

• PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with estimating tools and methodologies.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects is advantageous.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Atlanta, GA
• Neighboring cities: Decatur, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, and Smyrna.
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard business hours and occasional overtime required based on project needs.
